COTES DU RHONE RED

Grape Variety: 60% Grenache, 30% Syrah 5% Cinsault, 5% Carignan

Age of the vines: From 30 to 50 years old.

Geographic situation: One part in the north of Orange on slightly stony and clayey calcareous soils.

The other part in the south of Orange on alluvial terraces with pebbles.

Methods of Vinification: Total de-stemming of the grapes.

Maceration for a period of 15 days using the technique of the “delestage” for a better extraction of the polyphenols and the anthocyanins. Wine is aged in oak barrels for a period of 6 to 12 months.

Tasting: Served at 16 to 18°C

Appearance: Intense garnet red in colour.

Nose: The wine develops a bouquet of red ripe fruits, violet and blackcurrant, with a woody and spicy hint on the finish.

Palate: Round and unctuous, this wine is full and supple. The tannins are present but well-blended, with a long-lasting flavour. Peak: 2 to 5 years.
